Antique Brass Letterbox with Knocker
An antique brass letterbox with knocker (these are actually called “Postal Knockers”), perfect for any vintage front door.
This CR 1643 Postal Knocker is available in two sizes – 10 x 3” and 12 x 4” – and is displayed in the photo in “Antique Brass”. This is a beautiful finish, full of character, to suit any vintage home or front door. Similar postal knockers are also available in a smaller size (8” in length), but these have a slightly different style of knocker.
The antique brass finish, which this letterbox is shown in in the photo, is what we call a “living” finish and designed so that with normal handling, they will develop over time to reveal the metal below, creating a stunning aged effect.
These postal knockers are available in over twenty finishes and metals and are British made, cast brass items, with each piece individually finished by hand.
